First Quarter
My First quarter at M.AD feels like it flew right on by! This winter 2021 quarter I took: Tools, a class where I executed projects without an over-dependence on the computer. Which made me get back to the basics & fundamentals of working with my hands; Photoshop craft & content where I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop techniques to compose creative assignments; Ideas First where I learned to tackle a new client each week for a print ad; Video Storytelling where I developed the skills to tell a story through motion, sound, and time. Second quarter at M.AD was MAD!! Some how I became a trained photographer in Experiments in Digital Photography with Jorge. A strategies with Thinking Strategically with instructor Malu. The next Ted talk presenter & best selling author with Idea Presentation with Kim, & An adobe Illustrator with Vector Imagining with Nelson C . Experiments in Digital Photography
This class explores techniques in using the digital camera as a tool in visual experimentation. Sculpt light. Re-color the world. Magnify. Reduce. Blur. Sharpen. Capture. Release. Record a decisive moment or make one.
Thinking Strategically
I’ve learn to approach the creative research process. Also learned how to uncover “insights” that will lead to writing a creative strategy statement. Learn to formulate an ideal communications strategy. All while understanding the importance of strategic thinking and how it fuels the creative process.
Idea Presentation
This class will take you through a whole pile of presentation formats. At the same time you’ll get the fundamentals of InDesign and Keynote, as well as iWeb for basic web design.
Vector Imaging
Adobe Illustrator is the primary application for illustrating, creating logos, designing with type, and creating layouts in media that range from the web to traditional media like billboards and print ads this class went further into vector imaging as it applies to the web, and social media today.
